A shared session is the best solution when you are recording a short piece of music, like a song, jingle or demo. You can book sessions in half-hour increments.
Check this page regularly, as we often update our calendar with upcoming session dates.
Alternatively, you can sign up for our newsletter and we’ll keep you posted when new shared sessions are available.
Shared sessions are offered at promotional rates.
You may book up to three (3) half-hour portions at this rate on any given day (for a total of 1.5 hours/3 time-slots).
Anything over 1.5 hours will be considered a standard two-hour session.
In exchange for this promotional rate for shared sessions, we ask that you credit Budapest Scoring for all public usage including, but not limited to, film credits, album credits, and IMDb credits.
The instrumentation for shared sessions is listed on the calendar; we can customize the lineup for an additional charge (billed at their two-hour rate). Net recording time for a half-hour session is 25 minutes.
BOOKING SPECS gives you more information about our session policy.
You may submit up to 5 minutes of music per half hour slot. If you have more than one pass in your piece then you should add the length of each pass when you calculate the total duration. For example, if your piece is 4 minute long and has an overdub pass with 2 minutes of music then it counts as a 6 minute composition.
The following video is an example of the great quality of recording you can get using a half-hour slot.
